Say hello to my Nikon D5200.

I think it was time for a new camera, like a good camera. I have one but I only use that one for concerts cause it has a good zoom and it's small enough to get into the venues. I talked a lot with my dad about getting a good one and last saturday he took me to a shop and today we bought the Nikon D5200. IN LOVE!
Sorry for these horrible pictures with my Iphone but the light in the bedroom that I have in dad's house isn't working well. I should ask dad to fix it! But I'm just so excited and wanted to give you a look of my new camera! I'm almost jumping around, I wanna get started!

Say bye to this quality hahah!

And get used to this. Well I'm not a pro, I need to get to know my camera so don't kill me!

MY NYE.

Me and Daphni started the evening with some snacks. After that we challenged ourselfs by cooking pasta! On the picture below it may not look that good but it was really good! I'm proud cause I never cook haha! Then it was already time for the countdown, 5,4,3,2,1 HAPPY NEWYEAR!! We didn't drank champagn but cava instead. For dessert we had chocolate fondue with fruit, the thought of being healthy is good enough! Afterwards we went to a party in our village. We both were tipsy but we came home safe. I met a really old friend again and he wanted to bring us home. Well not with a car, too bad! He had his bike and we walked. We came home at 5am laughing our asses off. "shhhh! We have to be quiet!" Oh yes, we had fun!

What will 2014 bring?

Hello everyone,

2013 is almost over, how fast did it go?! I wish you all the best in 2014! We don't know what might happen, good things or bad things. But don't forget to make the best out of it! Today I'm gonna show you the concerts that I planned in 2014, as you might know, I LOVE concerts!

On February the 13th Daphni and I are going to Avicii, we're not huge fans but I think I wanna be part of such a concert too! Just closing your eyes and let the music take over the place!

On March the 20th I'm going to Beyoncé again and also with Daphni. Last time I went with my dad. When I heard that Queen B was coming back to Belgium, Daphni told me that she really wanted to see her. Last time I had seats, the best seats of the arena. So freaking close to the stage. Here you can read my article about that evening (http://www.evaheroo.com/2013/06/beyonce-concert.html). This time we have standing places. An our before the ticket sale I found a pre-sale link. So we got our tickets one hour earlier then the rest. NO STRESS, felt so good!

Last but not least, One Direction concerts! I'm totally ready for the "Where We Are" tour! I'm going with Chelsea this time and sooo looking forward to it! In Amsterdam we have VIP tickets and in Dusseldorf standing. Aren't we a bit crazy? One Direction doesn't come to Belgium see we go to them! Anyway I like it!

If you are going to one of these concert where I have standing places. If you stand infront of me, please move a little for me. I'M FREAKING SMALL. Oh I'm so scared that I won't see anything. Let's hope for the best!

PS: I'm still here in 2014!

Passenger gig.

A few weeks ago, I heard that The passenger would come to the station "Antwerp-Central" on the 26th of October. It was a free performance, everyone could go. So me and my girlfriend Chelsea decided to go. I'm not going to say that we are biggest fans but still wanted to see him live! I left in the morning on my own by train to Antwerp where I would meet Chelsea and another friend of hers. I knew Chelsea only via Twitter, which made it even more exciting. After an hour on the train sitting next to girls who were talking about whick book they had read, I could finally get off the train. I bumped into Chelsea and Flore. We decided to give it a go look where the event would be. When we arrived at half past 11 there were still some people working on the stage. We came there first with the three of us. Workers were still working on the stage and were testing the sound. We got hungry, me and Chelsea went for food and Flore stayed infront of the stage. Meanwhile Stu Larsen, a artist of Australia held a small sound check. A few hours later it was time for Passenger. Because we were in the front row, we were able to see him off the stage before he came to perform. In the meantime the station filled. I had unfortunately no view on how many people there were present, one of the disadvantages of standing on the first row. After a warm, cozy performance, Passenger dissapeared in the corridors of the station. Here went our hope, we wanted a picture with him! We wanted it mainly for Flore, she was the biggest fan of us three. We walked around but no trace of passenger. Then we saw Stu Larsen taking photos with fans. We stood there, looking around. He left along with another man, the man I had seen with Passenger before he went on stage. We decided to followStu Larsen follow from a distance. Just being calm walking in front of him, behind him, without any screams. We walked out of the station and came on a square, with an hotel. Not just a hotel, a hotel where a tour bus stood! Stu Larsen took a bicycle from the tour bus and cycled off. But the man I had seen with Passenger stood by the bus. I ran up to him and asked him if Passenger there was "We wanna surprise our friend!" "No, he's off, we are not with him. We are going to the Netherlands! " We said some words about Belgium and I ended with the words "I don't believe you." Passenger could not suddenly be gone. We were standing for half an hour in front of the hotel. Crew members were sitting in the hotel lobby and in the meantime Stu Larsen came back from his bike ride. We were about to leave, I had to get my train in half an hour. And at that moment I looked at the tour bus and saw Passenger. There were already a few fans pictures with him. Then it was my turn for the picture. Moments later I had the chance towalk to him again. I got a hug, "I have so much respect for you" I said during the hug. He thanked me and asked for my name, and then he shook my hand.Me, Flore and Chelsea were oh so happy, we did it!

Reading for nerds?

Reading? Ew no! I only do that when school asks me to!”  These world could come easily out of my mouth a year ago when the teacher started to talk about the book reviews that we had to do throughout the year. To say nothing about the sermon that she started. “Reading is really important, you have to keep doing it!” I heard this so many times. Our school gave us the books that we had to read. “These won prizes, they are in the top 10!” After I had read these books with great difficulty.. No, I had read a part. Just enough, I read just enough to understand the story. But still I don't understand why they had won prizes. Weird sentences, old-fashioned and depressing. Yes, I got that feeling!

It was in January this year, it was a rainy day and I had no homework for the first time. I was going to do some shopping with mom and I went to the books section. ' Fifty shades of grey ' I pulled out a book from the rack. I had heard many good things about the book, it was a hype! I didn't want to be the grey mouse who couldn’t join the conversation when other were talking about it. That night I literally fell asleep with the book in my hands. Never happened before! I have read the first two books of Twilight and a bit of the third one but I stopped because I didn’t like it anymore. Meanwhile I'm reading the third book, ' Fifty shades freed '. The story still gets my attention. I like reading now. Yes, nice! You are seeing the things all of a sudden in a different way. It’s also relaxing!

Teenagers don’t like to read. Everyone also has the image you only read if you are quiet and don't like to be social. Thanks to the hypes, people who never read start to get curious and grab a book. Usually you come in contact with books for a book review on school because you have to do it. You want a book as small as possible and it should be finished as soon as possible. Half of young people take something out of the racks without looking. Therefore, I recommend you to search for the book that appeals to you. Look at the cover, read the back. You don’t want a boring book, right? So try to discover what genre appeals to you. You're going to see that you won’t see reading as a punishment anymore. Maybe soon you’ll read a thick book in 1,2,3!
Note down: reading is NOT for nerds.

Copenhagen

My first trip to Copenhagen is over. It was also my first trip on my own, which made it more exciting! Wednesday August the 14 th, I was standing with my carry-on luggage in the departure hall of Brussels Airport. I went to a friend for a few days. I was really looking forward to it, a few day of relaxing and exciting stuff to do!

After Stine picked me up from the airport, we went to a mall. Nice to know: 50 Cent visited the mall the day after us. We picked up another girl from school and decided to play with carts at home! Actually the first time for me that I played a real game with carts!

The next day we went to the center of Roskilde by train. It had nice small shopping streets and again a mall. Stine bought some movies that we would watch for sure!

After me and Stine watched movies at home all day, we met up with our friend at the movies. I discovered that they eat popcorn with salt in Denmark! What a shock! We sat in a hall for 40 people, really weird!

On day 3 we visited Copenhagen with the three of us. We took a hop-on/off bus to visit the city. A must if you want to see as much as possible on a short time. There was a bus every 30 minutes, we didn't really lose time.

In the evening we met up with Stine her parents and brother in Tivoli. It's an amusement-park en there are performances every week. I usually get sick in rollercoasters so I had to walk some more, which was also nice! We also had dinner in a restaurant in the park and after a walk through the park we took the train home.

My plane took off on sunday. After breakfast I packed everything and our drive to the airport started. I was in time and then you realise how slow time goes by! Sitting on your own for 2 hours is not as simple as it looks. But after a flight of one hour and a half, I arrived in Brussels.

I love Copenhagen

Last day in Poland.

Hello, ever been to the hairdresser in another country? Annoying or just not? Well, I did it today. Together with my mother a grandmother we were looking for a hairdresser in this small village. We found a hairdresser who was very modern! Who would have ever thought that haha. In Belgium I find the hairdressers so rough and so I also hate to go. In Poland, there not! Two women were drying my hair and I felt like Paris Hilton! They are so sweet here and are afraid to hurt you. I guess I've never been this happy with a simple wash! We decided to relax today because we have to drive a lot tomorrow. My last night here I'll spend it cozy with the family!

Goodnight Polska.

My first night in Poland succeeded! We had a BBQ and for the rest I walked a bit in the garden. It's so peaceful, so soothing .. After my first night I can say that I only understand a few words in Polish and I think it will stay like that. It's so exhausting to listen to Polish all the time and try to understand. Hopefully tomorrow I know a new word!

There is not yet decided what to do tomorrow, but I definitely want to see as much as possible in a short time. I just suggested  to go to Auschwitz. That was according to my family here not a good idea. "You will not eat anything all day!" It must be very hard emotionally because they told me about German students of 12-13 years who were going to visit and then had to go in therapy because it was too hard and emotional. But I would love to see it and now I'm in the area. My grandmother tells me so much about how they lived in the war and so many other stories. Therefore, I would also love to see it, because it happened so close.

If I do not get the chance I will definitely go there. This is something you need to have ever seen? I'm gonna crawl into bed, it was a long journey.
