Going for a walk.

When the weather is good and you have a dog you just gotta go for a walk! Some people might hate walking but I actually love it! (Unpopular opinion alert!)

On our way to the lake we met this little one. There were so many beetles on the road, all run over by cars. I actually never saw one in 'real' close-up before!

After five minutes she was tired of it haha. Please don't look at my face,.

At the make we let Chanel run without her leash when most people were gone. It was nice to see her having so much fun!

Time to go home because I needed to study. "Perfect timing for a nap." she thought.

How many time a week do you walk with your dog, where do you take him/her? :)

Hello Bikini Body Guide!

Everybody started with their New Year's resolution right when 2015 started. Well, maybe just two or  three days after that..

I started mine a bit earlier between Christmas and New Year. I don't know why I didn't start after 2014, guess I wanted to stop with finding excuses. When I say "Kayla Itsines" does there ring a bell?You've probably already heard about her, if not go search her instragam @kayla_itsines. Do you like the pictures? And you can't stop scrolling? Then I'll tell you a bit about her and my early New Year's resolution.

On monday the 29th of December I started with the Bikini Body Guide from Kayla Itsines. The Bikini Body Guide includes a pre-training of 4 weeks and 12 weeks of 'official' training. I recommend the pre-training even if you work out on a regular base. I think it's always good to give yourself some time to get used to the routine. The guide is a E-book with 189 pages of excercises and tips. No excuses about forgetting your book, just download it on your smartphone, ipad or laptop.

A workout consists of 4x 7 minutes.


  • Dumbbells (3-5kg each)
  • Medicine Ball (6-12 kg) - I used dumbbells but it can be anything with the same weight.
  • Skipping Rope - I use an imaginary skipping rope!
  • Bosu Ball - until now they didn't appear in my workouts.
  • 1-2 Flat Benches (30cm+)- I used the table next to my bed. Make sure it's stable.
My opinion on pre-training week 1-4

If you're already active or not I recommend you to do the pre-training. I must say when you look at the excercises they look kinda simple. I'm not saying that they are very difficult either but you need to do them well. Before starting maybe can look up the moves so you can give your all in those 28 minutes. Halfway through my first workout I was asking myself what I was doing, basically dying haha. Now after my 4 weeks of pre-training I know what to expect in the upcoming 12 weeks. In these 4 weeks I was K-O after every workout and I don't think that will change haha. For now I already feel stronger and fitter. I'm trying to eat healthier. I don't eat candy but I like pasta and Italian food. I'm not too strict with my food because I know when I cut italian food out, I won't make it till the end. I'm drinking lots of water, not eating white bread anymore, no soft drinks either and fruit everyday. AND I never skip a workout! Make a plan for your own. You may not see a huge change but I feel better, healthier and stronger and that's the most important thing.

Personal update: what I have been doing lately.

Hello everyone, I know that I don't blog that much. I've been and I am studying a lot lately. I'm now in the middle of my exams, the last one is on Friday. After that it's time to workout a lot, so you can expect a post about that if you don't mind. Newsflash: I found someone who wants to help me with making better pictures! I'm actually excited because I needed that, someone who believes in the beauty of photography. Are you guys ready for Christmas and New Years Eve? I got my two dresses and I can't wait to make myself ready, to put my high heels on and party!

Oh I just want to share this: I ate a Bagel for the first time in my life. If you're from America it's nothing special but I think it's kindz new in Belgium! There was a time when I went to the gym 2 times a week. Well, that's history. Almost 3 years ago my doctor told me to stop doing Body Combat or excercises with a focus on the knees. I had been walking around with an injury for 2 years. I always felt pain in my knees but doctors kept telling me I was growing. ONE BIG JOKE. I tested it before, I stopped growing a long time ago. I listened to the doctors anyway and just kept going to the gym. As a result that I had to stop 3 years ago.

I'm not gonna say I'm fat but my body is changing, I'm almost 20 and not such a fit girl anymore. For now I'm only allowed to jump on a stationary bike, to swim and run but only when there's a good 'ground'. Since a few month's I just really don't like my body anymore and I think it's time for some chances. I started to spend some time on the stationary bike at home, which felt good. On a random day I ran to the store got myself a yoga mat and started to workout with Blogilates

Recently, I also found the app PumpUp. I love the app! It asks for your weight, length and if you want to tone your body or lose weight,.. You can follow other people and motivate them. The app makes the perfect workout for you. You can choose how long you want to workout, where you workout and which 'products' you have. The app makes a personalized workout for you and everytime a different one! After your workout you can see how long you workout lasted and how many calories you've burned.

The new schoolyear started on monday for me. Let me tell you, I wasn't ready at all! I'm in three different classes because I'm in mt first year and second year. Yeah not so easy to explain but I just gotta switch classes a lot. In the class of my second year I almost know everybody but in those two other classes I only know two persons.. And till now people just stare at me because I'm the new one who's only there for a few subjects.. I'm not complaining too much about my schedule, I have more time to walk with my dog now. Yesterday and today we went for a walk of 45 minutes, which is enough for my Chihuahua. I'm planning on going for more walks and do excercises. I just wanna get a little bit more healthy. Let's see how that's gonna work out!

Time to take off.

Damn what a horrible month was August for me. I'm ready with my exams since this morning. It even feels weird to not sit behind my books, not that I complain haha. Right after my exam I took the bus to the city to get my nails done and to buy the last stuff before I'm leaving Belgium. I'm only leaving for one week tho. The destination is Turkey, Alanya. I'm leaving Saturday in the morning with my boyfriend. Due all the exams I have had no time to think about my holiday, I still can believe it. I'm gonna lay by the pool, get my hair full of sand from the beach (eww!). There is no internet in our appartement and honestly I just wanna enjoy my holiday, for once without internet.

Time for the hairdresser and drinks.

I went to the hairdresser today. I wanted a little change so she dyed my hair again. It's not something extreme, not at all (I'm too scared for that..). Normally I don't really like going to the hairdresser. I mean sitting there for hours.. That's not really my thing. Although I always love to see the result! Today I was hoping that I would like the hairdresser because I"m having exams. I have to re-make some exams from last schoolyear, the which that I failed.. My last exam, which is French oral is on Thursday so I'm already inside for 1-2 weeks. The hairdresser was just my way to get away from my books. But I sat there for 4,5 hours!!! That's not normal okay! Okay done with compIaining. I need to show you the result right ;) ?

I dyed my hair back to my own darkbrown color and a few highlight's. You don't see them that much but I'm going to Turkey next week and my hair will already get lighter because of the sun.

When I was ready I went back home as fast as I could. I would meet up with my best friends. Oh I needed to hurry! We went out for dinner in an Italian restaurant. This is what I ordered:

Looks yummy right? Afterwards we went for another drink. 

I had a lovely evening! Now I'm off to sleep. I need to get up early to study :(
