Big city, how I miss you.

Did you ever visited a city and were not even excited about going there because it was ' just a city'. Did such a city ever surprise you? I don't mean a random city with it but really a city, a city were you didn't expect anything from. I'm home from Poland for two weeks now, but we needed to ride really far we decided to stay in Dresden for a night. We would take off the next day again. When we went to the city after we changed clothes, I felt a 'free' feeling. I didn't feel uncomfortable of a tourist. It felt like I was a part of the people who lived there and that's so weird for me. But there's only one city, outside Belgium where it feels like coming home and that(s London. I've been there 4 times already and I'm planning to go there in December for the 5th time. But Dresden also surprised me with his small street, where a pianist gives the best of himself in the middle of the street. Worth it!

Auschwitz.

Today there was a trip to Auschwitz on the program. After half an hour we arrived. I didn't feel good, did not know what to expect. My family here in Poland had told me that if I went, I would not eat that day anymore. Just before we went inside I wanted to turn back but something in me said I would regret it. I started my trip with a guide. Many stories I already knew because we had learned in school during history lessons got told. It had not been difficult to watch everything for a long time until we entered one room. Behind glass we saw long hair of women, children's shoes, suitcases which they must leave with the soldiers, glasses, dolls of children and so on. I thought I had to vomit. I found this along with the gas chamber so disgusting ..

Afterwards I was glad I did it. I hope something like this horror will not happen again. This was true horror.

het luik waar de gas door kwam.

Dresden!

Hello,

You did not know this yet but I'm on my way to Poland. We're going to visit family and I am currently in Dresden in Germany, we stopped here yesterday for an overnight stay. We went to eat something and walked around. Wow, I saw so many shopping centers! On our way back we'll come back because yesterday at 9am started the stores started to close.

I had  the chance to buy something, a Michael Kors handbag! I wanted him for so long and I got this as a gift for my diplomz and yesterday I found THE handbag that I wanted. I can't give you a photo  because we packed everything but more about this later!
